Friday May 5, 2017 my friends and I headed to Lone Star for what we hoped to be a fun girls night out with great food and drinks. The parking lot was empty which was nice and we were seated right away. Our waitress was attentive right away, taking our drink orders. We then waited for approx. 20 minutes for our drinks. We were close to the bar so we watched as drink after drink was made before finally getting ours with a "sorry for the wait" from our waitress. There also seemed to be a lot of staff hanging around the bar area but not doing much. We ordered our meals right away when she brought the drinks. The chips and salsa app arrived promptly and that is where the "alright" service ended. We waited for over 45 minutes. During this time our waitress made it back to our table one time while we all sat with empty glasses and no chips left as we had been waiting for food so long. My friend also noticed and pointed out that a couple other waitresses were pointing out our table ( or so it seemed) and commenting which made things a bit uncomfortable for us. Our waitress stated " the kitchen is really backed up tonight, sorry for the wait". We asked for a refill of chips and salsa. Approx an hour after ordering, different wait staff brought us our main meals. I had ordered the Lone Star Salad which seemed to have been made and dressed the hour prior as it was wilted and room temp. A cold blob of sauteed onions and peppers was thrown in the center. This salad was suppose to be "what Lone Star is known for" so I had pretty high hopes. The salad was also suppose to come with Lone Star Spiced Pecans which I had to ask for (came back in a small cup for me to add to my own salad) after approx 10 minutes. My friend ordered the fajita enchiladas which also seemed to have been sitting and were slightly cold in the center. She had also asked for some sour cream which took about 20 minutes to arrive. The other order was steak fajitas. The steak did not look great, again looking like it had been sitting for a while although she did state it tasted good. She had a very small amount of toppings for her fajitas although she could have unlimited shells. The shredded cheese pieces were all hard, again like they had been sitting out for too long. Throughout this evening we also noted some tables clearly seated after us getting their orders before ours even noting some of the same dishes we had ordered ourselves. This was an unsatisfactory dinner out and we will be choosing somewhere else for girls night next time.

We ordered the family feast for takeout. The ad said it would feed a family of 5. Nine teeny pieces of chicken, nine little potato wedges. Not even enough for our three kids. They send 12 tortillas, but only toppings for 4. The beans and rice are good. And you do get a big bag of tasty tortillas, but $70 for a snack is nuts! Maybe the restaurant is better, but we will never eat there.

The restaurant is day dreaming, when me and my friends head in the restaurant the server stare at us for whole 5sec before saying a thing. Also they mix up two of our orders: calarami with coconut shrimp, mash potato with baked potato.

The only reason I dont rate 1 star is because of their food, the food is well seasoned and cooked at the right temp which makes it worth the wait. But I was paying 70-80 for the meal, I expect better service. Most importantly, I expect the servers know what they are doing, not mixing up orders and staring at me for good 5sec without saying a word.

We were excited to try this place and when we got there our excitement only mounted. After waiting 30 minutes for our appetizer, our excitement quickly faded. From that point on, that was the only thing that happened quickly the rest of the night...
The appetizer, chips and cheese queso, took forever to arrive. When it finally did, we received a half assed excuse about the kitchen not receiving the order or something. Even though it had a film on it and was lukewarm - it clearly had been sitting there. After diving into it, it was mediocre, at best.

About an hour later, after sorting out the dishes at the table ourselves, I was looking forward to eating my BBQ brisket burger. Again, lukewarm, I ate half of it then waited another twenty minutes for a togo container and our bill.

Granted we were a party of 6, but the issue was they had a ton of waitresses looking after maybe 6 tables total. Totally no excuse for it to take 2+ hours. If the service was quicker and the food came to the table hot, I'm sure I'd give a better rating. Long story short, food seems decent, but don't go there unless you have a whole night to kill.
